RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD
The righteousness of God is not statements about good and evil. The righteousness of God is God and our union/oneness with God. Righteousness is not an abstraction but a person – the Godness of God. Life is not a formula, a concoction but a person, the person of Christ as a manifestation of the trinity and expressed as you.
ONENESS WITH GOD
Our life in Christ is not positions that we attach to. It is a state of being – the belonging that is ours in God in Christ.
THE LIVING WAY
Thus, Jesus declared Himself the way the truth and the life because that is who He was/is. The law of the spirit of life is personal, firstly it is the trinity and secondly it is the person of Jesus Christ, the Living Word and logos of the universe. Thirdly it is the trinity in you and with you. You in the way, the truth and the life is you when Christ is your life.
GOD COMES TO BE GOD IN US
Human beings have been redeemed by God and restored to their nobility as sons of God in the Son of God. Athanasius writes, “What, then, was God to do [about man’s depravity and lostness]? What else could He possibly do, being God, but renew His Image in mankind, so that through it men might once more come to know Him?
THE WORD IS GOD
“And how could this be done save by the coming of the very Image Himself, our Saviour Jesus Christ? Men could not have done it, for they are only made after the Image; nor could angels have done it, for they are not the images of God. The Word of God came in His own Person, because it was He alone, the Image of the Father Who could recreate man made after the Image.” (1) You as yourself Jean Rogers are made in the image of God and by the Spirit are the expression of Jesus Christ. This is why you live in the Spirit and not in the flesh come in the flesh, aka the law.
GOD’S ENTERPRISE
‘In His own person’ the son of God came into the world as Mary’s son and in His own person He comes into you – incarnated into you and woven into your being so that you take on His nature and express His being because you originated in God, have been drawn back into God into oneness with your destiny and real nature, by the enterprise of God. This is how we live a healed life – not just a healed leg.
TOTALLY NEW
This new and living way was what the law had pointed to. But it was not a new way of effecting the law. Righteousness is not an abstraction but a life and a life that belongs to us in union with God. This union we now have, and this righteousness is ours. In His person we are covered in His Grace and incarnated with His nature so that in our flesh we become the manifestation of His Spirit.
